Acting on behalf of five neighbouring landowners, we have exchanged contracts on the disposal of a substantial regeneration scheme in the heart of Digbeth, Birmingham.

On Thursday 22nd July 2021 at the planning committee hearing, full planning permission was granted subject to Section 106 and a unanimous decision for approval was reached by Birmingham City Council.

The landmark £260million mixed-use scheme will comprise of 943 new homes set over 9 blocks ranging between 2 and 32 storeys over 5.11 acres allowing for a range of tenures with build-to-rent, for-sale and affordable homes and affordable workspace set around the public realm areas.

There will be 65,000 sq ft of new commercial space including retail, offices, cafes and restaurants, a brand new 133-bedroom hotel and new areas of public open space. The site is now set to become a new cultural, commercial and residential neighbourhood as part of Digbeth’s wider regeneration.

During and following the construction phases, the scheme will provide huge economic benefits and will create thousands of new jobs for local people.

Construction works are expected to start in late 2021 and throughout 2022 with the scheme being delivered in phases over five to seven years.
